Kate & Mark at Peckforton Castle

Despite being a Wakefield Wedding Photographer, a lot of the time I do get asked to photograph weddings across the Yorkshire border. I just love shooting at Peckforton Castle, an epic backdrop to have your wedding photographs. I have experience in shooting weddings at Peckforton castle, which means I am fully aware of all the places on offer for photographs at Peckforton Castle.

Peckforton Castle is a medieval castle which was built in 1851, but took 9 years to build!! With the castle itself and the surrounding woodland, Peckforton Castle offers a fantastic backdrop for wedding photos.

Kate and Mark met up with me for a pre shoot having already had shoots with other photographers at the castle. Within 2 minutes of the Pre Shoot images being delivered, a deposit was in my account and the diary was marked up for their big day.

What a day it was. As always we start with bridal prep, and what a laugh we had. Despite a slight hiccup which was swiftly sorted thanks to great teamwork we were on our way!! The boys were ready and waiting for us and apparently one of the best men had had a little bit too much to drink!!

The Great Hall looked amazing and is a fantastic place to say your I Do’s!!

After the ceremony time was against us and we quickly grabbed the formal group photographs and a quick 15 minutes with Kate and Mark around Peckforton Castle to grab those wow photographs. On a wedding day, that is all I will take. I like to get the blend right of getting those images, but not taking a long time in doing it so you can spend lots of your time with friends and family.

After some hilarious speeches it was almost time for first dance and for Kate to start swinging the sword around for the cake cut! Time really does fly when you’re having fun!! Sunset and after dark images followed a nicely choreographed first dance and then we left them all to arty the night away! Loved every minute of their day and Ill be back at Peckforton Castle in July
